Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Finance Director with line management of a small finance team.

Full responsibility for the preparation of timely and accurate management information while maintaining integrity and control of all financial transactions.

Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure the Finance Department achieves and exceeds the requirements of the operating business, maintaining a collaborative approach with all functions. Presentation and participation as a member of the management team.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of the key drivers of the business to derive clear analysis and financial performance insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget preparation and participation, proactive engagement with all stakeholders to ensure buy in and coordination with business strategy.
  • Ownership and control of financial operations within the business, managing your own and your team’s day to day activities.
  • Financial reporting, asset-based lending management, payroll processing, regulatory compliance, treasury management, both internal and external.
  • Effective management, motivation, and development of the finance team including supervision and performance management.
  • Implementation of a change management culture by challenging and improving established controls, processes, and procedures where necessary.
  • Championing digital transformation, extensive involvement in ERP development and deployment of new functionality. Utilisation of business intelligence tools and electronic automation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience with a strong transactional background and focus on controls and processes.
  • Microsoft Technology Stack including ERP Applications – Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred but not essential.
  • Process improvement orientated, comfortable in challenging the status quo and implementing change whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Confident communicator at all levels, good analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines working on multiple tasks and on own initiative.
