Siddall and Hilton: Our Commitment to Safety and Quality

At Siddall and Hilton, safety and quality are at the heart of everything we do. Every process we improve, every product we create, and every decision we make is guided by our unwavering commitment to protecting our people, delivering exceptional products, and building a better future.

Health & Safety Mission Statement

Identify, recognise, and remove or, when removal is not feasible, control workplace hazards to reduce risk and improve the safety and well-being of everyone participating in or near all our business activities.

To achieve this, we are focused on creating a world-class safe and healthy environment in which our employees and those visiting our facilities feel secure and protected. We know that the key is continuous improvement, so we are constantly monitoring and improving the measures we have in place in response to feedback, technical guidance, and new or updated regulations.

We don’t just talk about health and safety; we prioritise it in every decision we make.

We make sure our commitment is visible and feels real to our workforce, through initiatives including:

  • A real-time mobile app to report hazards and incidents
  • Enhanced and ongoing training relevant to job role and risk profile, including completion of all mandatory training
  • A proactive maintenance schedule to ensure equipment is always safe to use
  • A programme of random safety checks, including with external health and safety consultants, to ensure complacency doesn’t creep in
  • Monthly Health and Safety steering committee, including board-level representation

Most importantly, we have a zero-tolerance approach to wilful or deliberate health and safety breaches, which is entirely supported by our workforce, who know action will be taken when necessary to ensure their safety remains our top priority.
